Meet the Purchasers
A major reason business owners join the Chamber is to market their products and services. The Meet the Purchasers program provides an opportunity for Chamber members to meet with purchasing agents from large companies and governmental agencies to learn what they buy locally and their bidding and purchasing procedures. Past purchasing companies that have participated include CREE, Lenovo, Raytheon, Red Hat, Inc., and SAS.
It’s an excellent marketing and direct sales event for business owners, sales and marketing professionals, and business development staff.
How Meet the Purchasers Works
The event begins with a welcome, an introduction of each purchasing company, and an explanation of the meeting process.
After the presentations, attendees take turns talking with the purchasers of their choice. They have the opportunity to network with the purchasing representatives and among themselves.
The Chamber provides a general display table for participating companies to display business cards and marketing pieces.
Remember to bring plenty of business cards and marketing materials!

Meet the Purchasers is held four times a year—February, June, August, and November. Check the Chamber’s Calendar of Events for the exact date and a list of participating purchasers.
The cost is $15 per employee of member firms. This is an event for Chamber members only.
