Emerging Leaders – Today's Talent, Tomorrow's Leaders

Learn what it takes to turn your talent into leadership skills that can propel you to the next stage in your professional life-straight from the experts themselves. The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s new Emerging Leaders program connects promising professionals with some of the area’s most successful executives for a unique, team—based mentoring opportunity. This is a program where you will learn from both senior business leaders as well as your peers. Participants must have demonstrated some upward mobility and have a minimum of five years in their career.


Goals:

  • Provide an intimate venue for early career professionals to meet with and learn from local leaders
  • Strengthen participants’ networks by connecting them with peers who have similar goals and can share knowledge and experience
  • Groom high-potential professionals for future leadership roles
  • Enable targeted interaction among peers

Qualifications:
  • Be employed by an active member of the Greater Raleigh Chamber
  • Have support from your corporation, organization, or association
  • Have demonstrated upward mobility within career
  • Participate in mandatory orientation session and a minimum of five of the seven sessions

How It Works

Seven monthly sessions

Interactive two-hour planned discussion with one of the area’s community/business leaders at their place of business

Sessions designed by the participants and submitted to the leader ahead of time to help shape the conversation

Topics range from career advancement development to work/life balance challenges to areas for community involvement

Interested?

Applications due by Sept. 28. Space is limited to 15 participants. Only one participant per company. A committee of business leaders will help to review candidates and select participants. Program cost is $400, which is due after acceptance.
