Executive Orientation

As a newly relocated business executive, you need to know all you can about the Raleigh and Wake County area to have the competitive advantage over your already-established peers.

Jump-start your knowledge of this area by participating in the Chamber’s Executive Orientation program. Executive Orientation, a one-day introduction to Raleigh and Wake County, allows you to quickly learn about the area and understand the vision of our community.

“As a newcomer to the area, I found the Chamber’s Executive Orientation provided an opportunity to learn about a wide range of community aspects from informed leaders,” said Sue Stevens of MeadWestvaco Corp.

Local leaders will discuss a variety of topics such as the downtown Raleigh revitalization, the Wake County Public School System, local government, economic development, transportation, and Triangle-area health services.

Dick Bugg of Fidelity Investments said, “New executives will find this session worthwhile both personally and professionally. I gained valuable insight into the future of downtown, business growth in the region, and other key issues that I could share with other newcomers at my company.”

Participants will also have an opportunity to establish a network of other executives and recently relocated professionals.

“The chance to meet and interact with others who were also new to the area was another benefit,” Stevens said.
