Do you know a legislator on a personal level? Perhaps you’re golfing buddies, live next door to one another, or went to college together. If you have such a personal relationship with a legislator, would you be willing to serve as a “Key Contact” on behalf of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce?
The Chamber is launching a Key Contact initiative as a way to increase the effectiveness of our advocacy efforts on behalf of the business community.
By agreeing to serve as a Chamber Key Contact, Chamber staff will contact you occasionally before key legislative activities in the General Assembly. We would contact you only on issues of importance to the local business community. You would then contact your legislator, sharing the Chamber’s support/concern about a specific piece of legislation.
This formalized program will allow us to track which members have received information on the important issues before the General Assembly.
