Vote!

The only way democracy works is if citizens, young and old, are active participants. Election Day is one day when all citizens are completely equal. Every registered voter has one ballot, one vote to cast, and all votes are counted equally.

The United States ranks last among industrialized nations in terms of participation by the people. Voter turnout in mid-term general elections averages less than 38 percent of the eligible citizens and turnout for presidential elections ranges between 50 and 60 percent.

Don’t be one of the eligible voters who sits at home on Election Day and lets the opportunity to determine the direction of our city, county, state, and nation slip away.
