The Raleigh Chamber GA team hosts its annual Newly Elected Officials Series and lays out plans for 2021
The Raleigh Chamber Government Affairs Department recently held its annual Newly Elected Officials Series on January 14 and 28. The series was a success and each elected official’s remarks were inspiring and informative. We received remarks from Congresswoman Deborah Ross, NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul Newby, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt, Labor Commissioner Josh Dobson, and many more.
Finally, the Raleigh Chamber will host the annual Community Success Forum: Dismantling Systemic Racism on Feb. 18 from 9 – 11 a.m. The event includes a keynote from Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad professor of History, Race, and Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School and speaker Sara Lawrence of RTI International. The event will also feature a panel discussion where panelists will discuss various pillars of society that are impacted by systemic racism. We are pleased to offer this event at no cost to attendees. If you would like to attend, please register here.
