Margaret Spellings, president-elect of the University of North Carolina system, met with business and community leaders in the Triangle on Dec. 18. Spellings is touring North Carolina to learn more about our state and the UNC system and build relationships with key leaders before she officially takes office on March 1. Spellings served as U.S. Secretary of Education from 2005 to 2009.
