What is the age range of Young Professional Network members?
The Young Professionals Network is open to professionals from ages 23 – 39.
When do the events take place?
Most of the Young Professionals Network events take place in the morning and are time-sensitive so attendees can be in their office or at an appointment by mid-morning.
What is the make-up of the Young Professional Network membership?
Members come from a diverse set of industries and careers.
Does my company have to be a member of the Greater Raleigh Chamber in order for me to join YPN?
No.
Can I attend an event to check it out before joining?
Yes, but some events are open only to Young Professionals Network members. For the events that are open to non-members, there is a fee associated with the program.
Is there a way to connect with other members after an event?
We encourage anyone who wants to meet with other members after an event to exchange contact information so a meeting can be arranged.
Is my membership transferable?
Individual memberships remain active for the individual as long as they are employed by the organization that sponsored them to join the Young Professionals Network. If the member leaves the company, the company retains the individual membership.
How long does my membership last?
Memberships are for one year based upon the anniversary date of joining the Young Professionals Network.
How will I hear about upcoming events?
Chamber staff will send out event announcements four to six weeks prior to each event to Young Professionals Network members. Additionally, members will receive a quarterly e-newsletter throughout the year.
Are there any opportunities for leadership involvement with the Young Professionals Network?
Yes, Chamber staff works closely with a volunteer leadership steering committees and task forces to help build and strengthen the Young Professionals Network.
